Man this thing is fun :) faster than you’d think as it’s light, great grip and turn-in in the corners. Needs a track rod replacing then the steering will be sorted. At the moment it’s a bit woolly on centre but weights up nicely in cornering. (Pic of old rims below)

Looking good! Wish I could find a deal like that around here....or had the money for it...or a place to put it :P

How is the convertible top, btw? Any leaks / tears, etc?

Yeah we got a screaming deal on this one :) it's really been taken care of. No rips or leaks in the soft-top, and the rear plastic window has been replaced as it can bend if you leave it folded for too long. It's in great condition!

All these upgrades and attention spread around, I’m sure the Lada is feeling envious.

Definitely. It needs the brakes sorting as only one circuit is working resulting in some hairy stopping :S

Doesn't stop it getting used daily though which is more than most of the other cars :)

I am usually a 5-spoker purist, but I like the new wheels.

I tend to like 5-spokes too, but I'm not a fan of the other ones for some reason. Can't put my finger on why but they seem a bit soft. A bit flowery. Maybe they don't have enough angles in them...
